Ingredients

  • 2 lbs ground turkey (yields 8 meatballs)
  • 2 tbsp salt
  • 2 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 egg
  • 6 wheat buns
  • 6 slices of American cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat Your Griddle. Set your griddle to medium-high heat (around 400 degrees)

**Prepare the Burger Mixture:**

  • In a bowl, combine the ground turkey, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and one egg. Mix thoroughly.
  • Form the mixture into eight meatballs and refrigerate them while you prepare your toppings.

**Prepare Your Toppings:**

  • Grate onions finely, shred iceberg lettuce, slice tomatoes thinly.
  • Crisp the hamburger buns on the medium-hot griddle until they turn a light golden.

**Cook the Beef Patties:**

  • Place the meatballs on the griddle, ensuring each has enough space to cook. -
  • To prevent sticking, place a piece of parchment paper on each meatball. Press the meatball with a burger press.
  • Cook for 3-4 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for an additional 3 minutes on the other side until the color changes from pink to dark brown.
  • Place a cheese slice on each patty and let it melt.
  • Spread your favorite burger sauce on the toasted buns.
  • Place the turkey smash burger on the bun and top it with lettuce and sliced tomatoes.
