Equipment

  • Saucepan
  • Blender or food processor

Ingredients

  • 4 large ripe peaches
  • 2 jalapeno peppers
  • 1 medium onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika

Instructions

  • Step 1: Prepare the Ingredients
Gather all the ingredients: ripe peaches, jalapeno peppers, onion, garlic, ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, salt, smoked paprika and black pepper. Peel and dice the ripe peaches. Seed and dice the jalapeno peppers. Finely chop the onion. Mince the garlic cloves.
  • Step 2: Cook the Peach Jalapeno Mixture
In a saucepan over medium heat, add the diced peaches, jalapeno peppers, chopped onion, and minced garlic. Cook the mixture, stirring occasionally, until the peaches and vegetables are softened, about 5-7 minutes
  • Step 3: Add the Remaining Ingredients
Once the peaches and vegetables are softened, stir in the ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, salt, and black pepper. Mix everything together until well combined.
  • Step 4: Simmer the Sauce
Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer gently for an additional 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Simmer until the sauce thickens and the flavors meld together.
  • Step 5: Blend the Sauce
Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the mixture cool slightly. Transfer the mixture to a blender or food processor. Blend the sauce until smooth. For a chunkier sauce, blend to your desired consistency.
  • Step 6: Serve or Store
Once blended, the Peach Jalapeno BBQ Sauce is ready to use. Serve immediately as a dipping sauce or glaze for grilled meats. Alternatively, let the sauce cool completely before storing it in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
  • Step 7: Enjoy!
Enjoy your homemade Peach Jalapeno BBQ Sauce on grilled chicken, ribs, burgers, or any of your favorite dishes.

Notes

  • Adjust the spice level by adding more or fewer jalapeno peppers.
  • Store leftover sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
  • Serve the sauce as a dipping sauce, glaze for grilled meats, or condiment for sandwiches and burgers.
